What to eat in Egypt

Egypt has a rich culinary history that draws from a variety of influences, including Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and African cuisines. Here are some popular dishes you might want to try when visiting Egypt that I enjoyed.

Shawarma: A Middle Eastern dish made of meat that is cooked on a spit and served in a pita bread with vegetables and sauce.

Mahshi: Vegetables such as zucchini, eggplant, or peppers stuffed with a mixture of rice, herbs, and spices.

Molokhia: A green soup made from the leaves of the molokhia plant, which is similar to spinach, and typically served with bread.

Falafel: Deep-fried balls made of ground chickpeas, onions, and spices, usually served with tahini sauce and salad.

Kebabs: Grilled meat, usually chicken or beef, marinated in spices and served with rice or bread.

These are just a few examples of the many delicious dishes you can try while in Egypt. Enjoy your culinary adventures!
